2023 Bay County SHRM Chapter President

Greetings!

I am honored to serve as Bay County SHRM’s 2023 and 2024 President, and to be affiliated with such a group of dedicated and hard-working professionals. As I embark on my first year as President, I am excited to continue Bay County SHRM’s mission of professional development and the continued support of excellence in Human Resources. As we move forward together, I hope to provide Bay County with an engaging set of resources, tools, and programs that allow HR professionals to grow and succeed.

Many changes have occurred over the past year, the goal of these changes were to strengthen Bay County SHRM’s ability to offer dynamic educational programing. The largest of these initiatives was the transition of Bay County SHRM to a 100% SHRM chapter. This move added invaluable layers to our ability to offer dynamic programing by offering access to the SHRM National Speakers Bureau along with keeping Bay County SHRM fiscally strong for years to come.  As always, we will continue to provide Bay County HR professionals with great educational resources and an opportunity to increase their HR knowledge and strength. I encourage you to join us at our monthly meetings, which will expose you to new and innovative ways to enhance your knowledge, your career, and your organization. My goal, along with that of our volunteer Board of Directors, remains to assist you in obtaining recertification credits as an approved provider with both SHRM and HRCI. I look forward to seeing you at the Destination Panama City Welcome Center on the 4th Thursday of each month from 11:30am - 1pm.  

In 2024, we will continue to focus on our membership, establish strong and meaningful programming, and provide valuable opportunities to network with other HR professionals in this area and beyond.  We are always geared toward your professional development.  One major focus for this year is to assemble a Board of Directors of the future. The establishing of a strong Board of Directors that encompasses engaging personalities, with dynamic, proactive, and innovative visions is paramount to our future success.  A strong board with your interest at heart will be needed to steer Bay County SHRM successfully throughout our ever-changing professional environment where the needs of organizations, the desires of the people we support, and the demands placed on HR professionals continue to grow.  Bay County SHRM is determined to be a leader in providing support and resources that assist you during these changes.  

Leadership is the cornerstone of any great organization. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer leader, engaging with peers, and making a meaningful impact, please contact a member of our board of directors or come to one of our chapter meetings. We want YOU to be involved! In addition, we are always looking for intriguing speakers and meeting sponsors. Please let us know if you are interested.
