Renee Hatton, Special Agent

Florida Department of Law Enforcement        

SA Renee Hatton, FDLE, is a full time task force officer assigned to HSI Panama City. SA Hatton has over 26 years of law enforcement experience after beginning her career as a Tallahassee Florida police officer. In 1997, SA Hatton became a FDLE special agent and has worked in South Florida, the Florida Keys and the Panhandle, primarily investigating drug and violent crimes.  

Bachelors of Science Degree in Criminology

Law Enforcement Officer since 1991 (28 yrs.)

Assigned to West Palm Beach Office as a Special Agent (mainly worked U/C narcotic operations in South FL)

1997, assigned to Panama City Field Office (investigated narcotics, homicides, fraud, child abductions, human trafficking, etc..)

Since 2013, assigned as a Taskforce Agent with Homeland Security Investigations and Intelligence with FDLE.

Craig Karch, Resident Agent in Charge

Homeland Security Investigations

Craig Karch is the Resident Agent in Charge (RAC) of the Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) office in Panama City, Florida.  In July 2016, RAC Craig Karch arrived in Panama City after having served as the HSI deputy attaché in Rome, Italy, from December 2012. 

Prior to this position, in 2009, Mr. Karch was assigned to the HSI Office of International Affairs in Washington, D.C., where he managed the ICE Cultural Property, Art and Antiquities (CPAA) Investigative Program.  During his tenure, Mr. Karch oversaw all ICE HSI investigations of stolen cultural property and art.  Additionally, during his tenure at HSI headquarters, Mr. Karch was assigned to the National Intellectual Property Rights Coordination Center.

Mr. Karch is a 20-year law enforcement veteran who began his career with the Key West Police Department, Key West, Florida, where he served as a field training officer, a narcotics detective and as an U.S. Customs Service task force officer.  In 2002, he was hired as a special agent and assigned to the U.S. Customs Service office in Key West.  In 2003, he transition to Homeland Security Investigations.  As a special agent assigned to HSI Key West, he led several multi-agency, international investigations targeting drug and human smuggling organizations and intellectual property rights violations.

Mr. Karch also served in the U.S. Army as a Russian analyst/linguist, was a professional youth-club soccer coach and served as vice president of the Arkansas State Soccer Association.  Mr. Karch is a graduate of the Defense Language Institute and Saint Leo University.
